Sage Analytics (www.sageanalytics.com), the developers of portable, laboratory-quality cannabis potency measurement systems, announced it established a distribution network in South America, anchored by Senses Biotech in Uruguay.
Founded by Samy Abud Yoshima and George Gund IV in 2015, Senses Biotech provides a range of services to growers and users of plants with phytotherapic properties. Phytotherapy aims to preserve the complexity of plant substances with little processing, whereas standard pharmacology tends to isolate specific compounds.
"The Sage Beacon perfectly fits our mission and growth strategy," Yoshima commented. "The device allows Cannabis users to have instant information about their plants' potency, and adjust dosage for efficacy and safety. The Beacon also gives growers insight to improve gardening protocols and make informed decisions regarding optimum harvesting schedules."
Sage Analytics has begun shipping units to Senses Biotech and plans to expand throughout South America. Senses Biotech will focus distribution to growshops in Uruguay and Chile.
"We are pleased to have Senses Biotech accelerating distribution in this vibrant region," said William Buie, President of Sage Analytics. "The market for a reliable yet portable cannabis testing device is growing worldwide among cultivators, manufacturers and retailers," he added. The Sage Beacon is now the clear choice – with proven technology and laboratory-quality accuracy."
Yoshima says that using the Beacon will build a valuable resource of information. "Each time we test a flower or a concentrate, we increase our understanding of the specific attributes of different CannaMetric profiles," he said. "As we gain this wisdom, we can improve our ability to match cannabis with a specific need or medical condition."
