MultiTaction provides Meeting Room iWall solution for BLF’s parliamentary exhibition

MultiTaction, the world’s leading developer of interactive touch display systems is providing its MultiTaction Meeting Room iWall solution for a week-long parliamentary exhibition being held by the British Lung Foundation (BLF) at the Houses of Parliament from 4-8 July, to increase awareness about lung disease.

Public Health Minister, Jane Ellison MP, launched the exhibition in the Upper Waiting Hall on 4 July, highlighting the need for earlier diagnosis and awareness of every day breathlessness as a symptom of lung disease and other health conditions.  The exhibition is showcasing the BLF’s upcoming ‘listen to your lungs’ campaign and is giving MPs, Peers and visitors to parliament a chance to test their lungs using an online ‘breath test’ via the interactive display.

The Meeting Room iWall – standing two metres high and over two metres wide – is being used to engage and draw in passers-by with its stunning graphical display. The iWall can present a broad palette of  media-rich campaign content at any one time and unlimited numbers of people can engage with this through the touch screen, without any drop in speed or performance.

The iWall is designed to embrace the trend towards ‘bring your own device’ which means that the BLF team can share content on to the interactive wall using team iPads. A key role for the iWall is the display of test results and the team can also interact with and manipulate content on screen using hands or infrared pens.  And any information displayed on screen can be saved and accessed at any time.

The exhibition in the Houses of Parliament is the precursor to a BLF campaign being launched in mid-July. ‘Listen to your Lungs’ will be a public health campaign to find the millions of people who are living with undiagnosed lung disease. The goal is to have at least 100,000 people take the test and share the test with their friends and family.
