Three years ago Unitive Design & Analysis Ltd was just an idea, now it’s a thriving young company based in Canary Wharf, celebrating the award of a grant from the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.

Focused on the imaging demands of a range of industries, the team at Unitive Design drew inspiration for their idea for new image transfer components from the challenges that businesses were already facing.
Founder and Managing Director Dr Phil Marsden has always been adamant that developing leading edge technology is not enough.
We spend our days designing imaging systems based on charged particles, high energy photons, ultra-violet, visible or infra-red radiation, but we know it’s all about the application. Businesses will quite rightly shy away from taking risks unless the application can provide clear advantages that translate to business gains.”

The company will be talking to early adopters in industry right from the start “Being able to capture an image with superb precision and transfer it efficiently to an end point which may be a screen, a chip or other optoelectronic device, will bring radical new design opportunities and new solutions to many applications.”
Unitive Design were careful to choose the right partner to work with them during the 12 month project, “The University of Nottingham were our first choice due to the breadth of their knowledge base and we couldn’t have asked for a more positive engagement.”
