Liva Healthcare announces appointment of Thomas Cooke as clinical services manager in the UK

Liva Healthcare, the digital health platform designed to tackle chronic diseases, has appointed Thomas Cooke as clinical services manager in the UK. The latest appointment comes as Liva hits the six-month mark of the NHS Healthier You: Diabetes Prevention Program (NHS: DPP) digital stream.

Liva is a forward thinking, innovative business and I am extremely excited to be a part of the team as it expands in the UK. Helping people make lasting lifestyle changes to improve their lives is a great passion of mine.

Technology has a huge role to play in delivering personal health coaching to help as many people as possible. I look forward to working with the health coaches to drive this activity and help people tackle Type 2 diabetes."

Tom Cooke, Clinical Services Manager

Tom has a wealth of experience in lifestyle coaching and was previously the health and wellbeing program manager at AXA PPP Proactive Healthcare.

Here, he helped businesses implement solutions to inspire well-being and build a sustainable health culture.

Tom will be responsible for delivering the company’s digital healthcare offering and supporting Liva’s work with the NHS: DPP. He will oversee the health coaches that use Liva’s digital platform to monitor and communicate with their patients tackling Type 2 diabetes.

Tom will also devise a service design for new customers as well as drive the clinical implementation of Liva’s services with new patients on-boarded to the program.

Liva is a digital health platform supported by a physical, personal health coach to help patients reach their personal lifestyle goals and prevent and roll back chronic diseases such as Type 2 diabetes.

In 2017, Liva was chosen as one of five technology providers to pilot the digital stream of the NHS: DPP.

Tom has a deep desire to improve the lives of others. His significant experience in supporting employee wellbeing means he is the perfect candidate to oversee new program design and our health coaches as they help patients make healthy lifestyle changes.

It’s an excellent time for Tom to join the team as we start to expand with new customers and reach the halfway point of the NHS: DPP digital pilot with patients showing fantastic results already.

Tom will help Liva expand in the UK during the next vital period of growth for the organization. I look forward to working with Tom as we continue to on-board pre-diabetic patients to our program, helping people prevent and reverse chronic lifestyle diseases"

Simon Pickup, UK Managing Director
