Rogosin selected to participate in new Comprehensive End-Stage Renal Disease Care Model

The Rogosin Institute, a NYC-based non-profit provider of comprehensive kidney care, including dialysis for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), has been selected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to participate in the new Comprehensive End-Stage Renal Disease Care (CEC) Model established by CMMI, CMS's Center for Innovation.

Researchers develop biophysical treatment method for dialysis patients

Researchers at Charité -- Universitätsmedizin Berlin have developed a biophysical treatment method that allows up to 50 percent more toxins to be removed from the blood of dialysis patients. Use of this technology may result in patients with kidney disease seeing a considerable reduction in the length of dialysis sessions. An initial patent application for this technology was filed in 2011.
