Streamlined quality control with MQC+: Ultimate NMR analysis solution

The MQC+ is a compact benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analyzer, primarily used for quality assurance and quality control. It precisely measures the content of oil, water, fat, solid fat, spin finish (OPU), hydrogen, wax and fluorine in a wide variety of samples.

Furthermore, it can evaluate material properties such as polymer crystallinity, density, and molecular weight. The MQC+ offers rapid analysis, with processing times ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, enabling efficient and high-volume sample testing.

The MQ-Auto sample automation system can also be used with MQC+ analyzers to boost productivity and efficiency in the laboratory.

Benefits

  • Fast: For increased production control and a high sample throughput.
  • Safe: Less hazardous for employees and more ecologically friendly.
  • Easy to use: Step-by-step operator advice means that less training is needed.
  • Easy to maintain: Users can carry out routine tasks to ensure consistent results.
  • Accurate: More precise measurements are guaranteed since NMR signals are generated from all areas of the sample, not only the surface, even if those parts are opaque.
  • Non-destructive: Samples can be stored for subsequent measurements or for analysis using different methods as NMR measurements do not harm them in any way.
  • No hazardous solvents or chemicals: Since the NMR approach does not require solvents, it eliminates the requirement for fume cabinets, specially trained personnel, and costly disposal procedures—all of which are associated with wet chemical analysis.
  • Cost-efficient: Simple operation and maintenance; only needs mains power.
  • Simple linear calibration: Only a few samples spanning the concentration range are required.
  • Simple operation: The purpose of MQC+ is to facilitate the work of technicians in QA/QC labs. It eliminates the need for in-depth operator training and streamlines the analytical procedure.
  • Minimal sample preparation: Simply transfer the sample into a tube, condition it and analyze. Grinding or other forms of sample preparation are not often required.
  • Rapid analysis: Since analysis only takes a few seconds to several minutes, a large number of samples can be processed in the lab rapidly and effectively.

Options

The MQC+ is a multi-functional benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analyzer available in three configurations: MQC+23, MQC+5, and MQC+F.

The MQC+23 is engineered for high sensitivity in analyzing small samples, ideal for evaluating trace oil content in synthetic fibers and textiles to enhance their properties. The MQC+5 model is better suited for larger samples, such as those found in agriculture, helping to measure oil and moisture content in oilseeds. The MQC+F version focuses on the measurement of fluorine in various products, including toothpaste and minerals.

This series is equipped with several durable probes or sample holders that can be easily interchanged to accommodate different sample types and sizes, typically within minutes.

Each model of the MQC+ includes all necessary software and sampling tools designed for its particular applications. The system can also be integrated with additional laboratory equipment like dry heaters, water baths, scales, and autosamplers to meet specific requirements.

Additionally, the MQ-Auto autosampler is designed with a high-efficiency robotic arm, multiple sample racks, and conditioning stations. It features an integrated scale for accurate sample weighing and can be equipped with an optional barcode reader for efficient sample management.
