Launching of Vaccination Week in the Americas

The Pan American Health Organization, PAHO, together with the governments of the United States, Mexico and Canada, will hold a press conference Monday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at the National Press Club to launch Vaccination Week in the Americas, a multi-country immunization campaign.

WHY: This week-long campaign, "Vaccination: An Act of Love," is an Americas-wide effort to reach those left behind, especially indigenous people, residents of remote border areas, and all children who have not received their complete vaccine doses. By joining together and carrying out immunization activities at the same time, the countries of the Americas hope to reach 44 million unvaccinated people.
