New office opened in Houston by Hospice Compassus

Hospice Compassus, a leading provider of hospice services, announced today the opening of its fourth Houston-area location.

The new office is located in The Woodlands at 19221 I-45 S., Suite 350 in Shenandoah, Texas 77385, 832-585-0870 and focuses on the provision of a full range of hospice services to patients throughout Shenandoah and surrounding communities. Hospice Compassus of The Woodlands employs professionals including those spanning the nursing, clinical services, social work and spiritual care areas. A healthcare consultant and supplementary nursing staff members were added as are result of this office opening.

“The Woodlands area is on the Northwest side of town where Hospice Compassus did not currently operate. Based on recent, extensive growth in that area, we deemed this part of town an appropriate site for our expansion. Now, with the addition of the Shenandoah office, we are pleased to offer hospice services to patients and their families on the north side, which includes the Conroe, Humble Kingwood, Magnolia and Tomball communities. With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, Hospice Compassus is recognized as a leader in hospice and is well positioned to meet the needs of the Houston community. We are excited about our service area expansion with the opening of the Woodlands office, which now brings the total to four Hospice Compassus locations in operations throughout the area,” said Donna Cowart, executive director who leads the Houston-area operations for the company.

Hospice care delivered by Hospice Compassus is provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals and trained volunteers. A comprehensive care plan is directed by the patient and managed by the team that includes physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and others who explore and evaluate treatment options in the context of each patient’s symptoms, values and wishes.

In addition to the Shenandoah office, Hospice Compassus operates three other locations in the Greater Houston area including those in Baytown, League City and Houston.
