Axion Health and CHS to deliver Workforce Emergency Preparedness and Response programs

Axion HealthTM (www.axionhealth.com), a workforce health protection, emergency preparedness and response provider, today announced that it will partner with Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (www.chsmedical.com), the industry’s largest independent provider of onsite health centers, nationwide exam programs and rapid response medical readiness teams for workforce health to deliver its ReadySetTM Program for Workforce Emergency Preparedness and Response; including the ReadySet Pandemic Program for prevention, protection and response to pandemic health threats.

The ReadySet Web-based program helps ensure workforce availability and continuity of operations by protecting employees, dependants and essential personnel before, during and after the event of an incident, such as emergencies, disasters and unexpected events. The ReadySet Program also helps to manage the prevention of everyday health threats, including pandemic viruses, seasonal influenza, hepatitis and more. CHS will provide physician assessments, e-prescribing and point of distribution services; all integrated and manageable in real-time from the ReadySet C3 (command, control and communication) Center.

“We are excited to team with Axion Health to create unparalleled Workforce Emergency Preparedness and Response programs. We believe the introduction of the new ReadySet Pandemic Program could not have come at a more crucial time as the 2009 flu season approaches and the nation braces itself for the resurgence of the H1N1 flu virus. We are confident the ReadySet Program and the experienced Axion Health team will add depth and breadth to our comprehensive workforce health solutions, and, that together we can meet the growing needs of businesses to protect their workforce against emerging 21st Century health threats and new and changing workplace environments,” said Todd Hall, executive vice president and chief information officer for CHS.

“The ReadySet Program fills employee protection gaps found in many traditional business continuity plans and eliminates many of the inefficiencies and redundancies in paper-based emergency preparedness and response systems,” said Tom Pianko, president of Axion Health. “Our customers have shown us that today’s Workforce Emergency Preparedness and Response Programs cannot rely on slow, paper-based processes, isolated communication silos and departmentalized services. By partnering with CHS, a world class clinical service provider, we can ensure our robust ReadySet technology provides integrated, compliant clinical services at their fingertips.”

Today, more than 150,000 employees and dependents in the U.S. benefit from their organization’s use of the ReadySet Program from Axion Health to safeguard their essential personnel.
