SuiteMed EHR package customised to receive patient data from ALR Technologies' Health-E-Connect system

SuiteMed Solutions, a NC Triad healthcare technology company, announces it is customizing their SuiteMed EHR to facilitate receipt of patient data from ALR Technologies' patented Health-E-Connect patient monitoring system. This data can be important for care plan evaluation, monitoring services billing and reimbursement as well as lending to the "meaningful use" criteria for government funding to medical clinics for implementation of EHRs.

SuiteMed Solutions' EHR package will also include patient in-home setup service for up to 100 patients for each participating medical clinic; patients with chronic disease such as COPD or asthma that their physicians prescribe the ALRT Health-E-Connect system. The package will also include up to 100 of the ALRT Constant Health Companion (CHC) communication and compliance devices.

Diane Matthews, CEO of Laser Logics (SuiteMed Solutions), reports that her company is determined to provide the best EHR and most comprehensive in improving cost efficiencies and patient outcome in healthcare: "We truly believe our system is the most user friendly, technology rich and cost effective system and with ALR Technologies system capability of monitoring respiratory patients we will add important patient data by extending the medical professional care into the patient's home, assisting with patient accountability and adherence in their prescribed care-plan."

President Obama, in February, signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and made available $19 billion for Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), to enable medical practices to implement qualified technology in practice management and patient care.

"The HIT funding provides a valuable and reasonable incentive to assist medical clinics and medical professionals in moving to the use of Electronic Health Record systems and we concur that the use of technology can bring improved efficiencies in cost and patient management that can make positive change in healthcare," adds Matthews.
