Under the Foundation of Greater Montreal's Community Grants Program, the Montreal Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada will receive $10,000, which will ensure the continuity of its program of physical activities adapted for people with multiple sclerosis.
Concrete Assistance
With the grant obtained from the Foundation's fund for the metropolitan community, the Montreal Chapter of the MS Society will be able to offer a range of workshops designed to improve the quality of daily life for people with MS and their families. "The funding we received will enable beneficiaries to attend activities in complete safety, break their isolation and give their families and caregivers some respite," emphasizes Nadine Prevost, Director of Services and Social Action of the Montreal Chapter and the Quebec Division of the MS Society. Three workshops will be offered to Montreal area members: school of movement, adapted yoga and expression through art. These courses will help participants to become more autonomous, manage their energy levels better, and adopt an active lifestyle.
