New Satellite Dialysis center to serve patients affected with CKD opened

Satellite Healthcare, one of the nation's first and leading providers of kidney dialysis services and a major sponsor of nephrology research, today announced the opening of a new Satellite Dialysis center in Tracy, CA. The new center adds to Satellite Healthcare's rapidly expanding presence in the central valley, and will be equipped with 24 hemodialysis stations to serve those affected with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

"This new Area location will allow us to dramatically improve the quality of life for those in the Central Valley," said Marc Branson, Executive Vice President of Dialysis Services for Satellite Healthcare. "Satellite Dialysis has provided clinical excellence and resources for the care of kidney disease patients for over 35 years, and with the opening of this new dialysis center, we can continue to assist those battling CKD."

CKD affects one in nine Americans, totaling around 26 million adults, with over 90 percent unaware they have this silent killer. By continuing to open new centers and further community education, Satellite Dialysis expands on its commitment to develop and implement individualized care regimens for its patients.

Aibar Huatuco, M.D., President of Altamont Nephrology and physician with over three decades of experience serving the San Joaquin Valley, will lead the talented team at the new Satellite Dialysis center in Tracy. His team consists of nurses, hemodialysis technicians, nutritionists, and social workers, all of whom are eager to assist those with CKD.

"The new state-of-the-art facility will allow us to offer the finest level of care to our patients," states Dr. Huatuco, "We have had the need within our community for the expansion of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and chronic kidney disease services for a long period of time. With our friends and partners at Satellite Dialysis, we have been able to meet this challenge, and are now able to deliver the best treatment to our patients for years to come."
