Cymetrix announces a partnership with Montefiore Medical Center

Cymetrix, a leader in providing hospitals and healthcare networks with revenue cycle management solutions, today announced a partnership with Montefiore Medical Center to provide a unique service to reduce ambulatory charity and bad-debt write-offs. Cymetrix's excellent track record for obtaining coverage for under- and uninsured patients through eligible public programs has led to a high conversion rate for its clients. This reputation as a specialist in the intricacies of state and federal programs was instrumental in Cymetrix's selection by Montefiore for its outpatient services.

In this three-year contract, Cymetrix eligibility specialists will guide Montefiore patients through the complex application processes to secure federal and state reimbursement for uncompensated medical care. All work by Cymetrix will be conducted at its New York Business Processing center opening in December to serve its North East clients, including Montefiore, located in Bronx, New York. Its eligibility services, provided at no cost to patients, include Medicaid, SSI, Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits (SSDIB), Medicare, state disability and charity care, as well as many community programs.

"Partnering with Cymetrix allows us to help obtain coverage for a greater number of our patients through government and state programs," said Jim McNiff, associate vice president of Health Services Receivable at Montefiore. "Cymetrix's reputation and national experience was crucial in our selection."

"Providing eligibility services to this highly acclaimed medical center is an exciting opportunity," said Michael Halberda, CEO and president of Cymetrix. "By helping Montefiore achieve its financial goals we're also assisting hundreds of patients who currently have little to no income or support resources."
