The Tennessee Biotechnology Association and its Graduate Alliance are jointly hosting an afternoon of biotech, business, and law on December 7th, 2009. This event will be held at Belmont University with a reception at 5pm sponsored by i3 Research. This program kicks off at 1pm with Biotechnology 101, an overview of the biotechnology industry from three points of view: science, business, and law. We will start with how the industry was born, where it is heading, and what today’s major issues are.
A concurrent workshop on "How to Use Claims Data to Plan Faster Trials and Find Investigators" will be presented from 1:30pm-2:30pm by the international clinical trial company i3 Research. From 3pm-5pm, Kraft Analytic’s litigation support consultant Glenn Perdue and Jefferies & CO Nashville based life science analyst Dave Windley will provide a discussion and demonstration on how to value biotech companies, using Cumberland Pharmaceuticals and BioMimetic Therapeutics as case studies.
