Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software solutions, announced today that Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio has implemented a comprehensive suite of software solutions to streamline efficiency and control costs in its food outlets and gift shops. Summa Health System will use Eatec® Solutions by Agilysys, an inventory and procurement system; InfoGenesis(TM) POS, a point-of-sale system; and Hospitality Analytics, a business intelligence solution.
"We wanted to work with one vendor, and Agilysys had all the technology we needed," said Don Smith, system director for Food, Nutrition and Retail Services at Summa Health System. "We were impressed with the openness of the systems, their real-time reporting features and the wide range of capabilities they offered. We are confident the technology will help us conserve resources, maximize profitability and deliver outstanding service to hospital staff and visitors."
Summa Health System is using the following solutions from Agilysys:
- Eatec® Solutions by Agilysys, a full-featured inventory and procurement system designed especially for the foodservice and hospitality industries. Along with its core purchasing, inventory, recipe, forecasting, production and sales analysis functions, the system offers modules for catering and retail. The software solution also includes more than 400 standard reports, which will enable Summa Health System to make more informed and intelligent business decisions.
- InfoGenesis(TM) POS, an enterprise-ready point-of-sale system that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities with an easy-to-use touch-screen terminal application. The system, which is designed for multi-unit operations, can manage any combination of dining and gift shop operations. Features of InfoGenesis POS include audit log and electronic journal, real-time reporting capabilities and advanced sorting, filtering and grouping options.
- Hospitality Analytics, a business intelligence tool that consolidates data across disparate systems and multiple geographic locations into a single, integrated source for comprehensive reporting, auditing and predictive analysis. Summa Health System is using the solution to review costs, sales trends and profitability. Based on the Hospitality Analytics reports, managers can modify prices, add or remove menu and gift shop items and adjust staffing levels.
"Hospitals increasingly require technology that enhances guest service and enables staff to work smarter and more efficiently, particularly in the areas of food and beverage and retail," said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. "Our solutions for inventory and procurement, point-of-sale and business intelligence work together to help ensure streamlined operations. Their combined power will enable Summa Health System to meet and exceed guest expectations while maximizing productivity and profitability."
