Sage North America today announced version 10.2
of its Sage MIP Fund Accounting nonprofit and government financial
management software, featuring a new customer feedback portal allowing
customers to quickly submit ideas and feedback to Sage MIP Fund Accounting
product executives. Other version 10.2 enhancements include additional
reporting options and expanded e-mail functionality and import
capabilities.
"It's critical that we not only provide our customers with the right
products, but also with exceptional experiences," said Krista Endsley,
senior vice president and general manager for Nonprofit Solutions at Sage.
"The new Customer Enhancement Portal makes it very easy for Sage MIP Fund
Accounting customers to provide closed loop feedback. The portal will be an
invaluable tool during our product development cycle -- as we continue
developing the features and functions that will have the most value to
users."
Built-in Feedback Mechanism
The new Customer Enhancement Portal enables Sage MIP Fund Accounting users
to provide closed loop feedback. A customer making a request or offering a
suggestion through the portal will receive an auto-response. Then, when
Sage updates the status of that requested enhancement, the customer
submitting or sponsoring the idea will receive notification. Customers can
also log in at any time using their e-mail addresses to see the status of
their submissions.
Sage Nonprofit Solutions has appointed an internal and external advisory
board to review and rank the submissions sent through the Customer
Enhancement Portal.
More Reporting Options
Several reporting enhancements were made to v10.2, including:
-- Form 990 reporting now includes Part 1, 8, 9, and 10, with both
summary and detailed formats;
-- New State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) reporting fields make it easier
for users to reconcile, track and file their state unemployment taxes;
-- The GASB (Governmental Accountings Standards Board) module is more
flexible, with improved settings for agencies in the public sector; and
-- Improved report drill-down functionality from within financial
statements allows users to more accurately search financial records.
Enhanced E-mail Functionality, Expanded Import
Sage MIP Fund Accounting users can now more easily send e-mail messages
directly from within the product, with fewer configuration restrictions. A
new hyperlinked "click to mail" capability enables users to e-mail
employees with addresses stored in Sage MIP Fund Accounting directly from
within the Payroll module. Expanded import capabilities in v10.2 streamline
data processing and reduce possible errors created by large amounts of
manually entered data.
"The report writer in Sage MIP Fund Accounting is so user-friendly that we
can build or change a report in a matter of minutes," said Michael Taylor,
acting deputy executive director of finance for Valley Metro Regional
Public Transit Authority (RPTA) in Phoenix, Ariz. "We rely on it for our
comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR), which all government agencies
are required to do. Sage MIP Fund Accounting makes it extremely quick and
easy to create the component reports that are included in the CAFR."
