PSS
World Medical, Inc., a national distributor of medical products to
physicians and long-term health care providers, chose the live events
agency inVNT to produce its annual national meeting for 1,500 employees.
inVNT used creative cost-saving measures to stage a high-energy meeting
while supporting PSS’ efforts to reduce spending.
The PSS National Meeting, which took place at the Gaylord Texan Resort
and Convention Center in Dallas, gathered sales and operations personnel
to generate excitement over product and selling strategies for the year
ahead. Like many other companies, PSS is committed to spending more
wisely to save jobs so inVNT staged a meeting that cost a fraction of
previous events and was consistent with the company’s message of
efficient spending. inVNT hired a single local actor to stage short
entertaining skits and used a local day labor force for event setup and
breakdown rather than transporting in laborers, as had been done in
previous years. Additionally, inVNT organized post-event gatherings
on-site instead of busing attendees to locations around Dallas.
“Our goal was to create an atmosphere that strengthened our message of
respect for the challenges we face and excitement for the opportunities
we have,” said Gary Corless, Chief Operating Officer, PSS World Medical,
Inc. “inVNT’s creative thinking and execution exceeded our expectations.”
inVNT, a live events agency that energizes brands in the eyes of
customers, partners and employees, specializes in events for corporate
and trade association clients, with offices strategically located in New
York and Washington, D.C. inVNT is one of the fastest growing live
events agencies. The company has produced successful events for many
well-known corporate brands including PepsiCo,
Barnes
& Noble, Subway
and Merck
– all within the last year.
“While scaling back on this year’s event was a challenge, PSS gave us
the creative freedom that allowed us to put together a fun and
interesting event for attendees,” said Jerome Baker, partner and
executive producer at inVNT. “Our goal was to make sure we created an
immersive environment that supported PSS’s key messages and we were
thrilled to be a part of it.”
