The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced that ValueOptions® Inc., the nation’s largest independent behavioral healthcare and wellness company, recently went live with TriZetto’s Clinical CareAdvance® application 4.41 and expects to launch TriZetto’s Personal CareAdvance® application in early 2010.
“In fact, we had such confidence in TriZetto’s targeted go-live date that we previewed the system to our customers throughout the implementation period”
“ValueOptions’ Opt4Wellness® programs provide advanced wellness initiatives that help people better manage behaviors such as overeating, smoking and physical inactivity and mitigate associated higher-risk conditions such as diabetes and CAD,” said Sue Dess, senior vice president of health and wellness at ValueOptions. “We are employing TriZetto’s Clinical CareAdvance application to add greater customization and personalization to the Opt4Wellness programs, which should help increase their effectiveness and value for consumers and for the companies that engage our services.”
The CareAdvance system is enabling the launch of new disease management and case management products, according to Dess, further expanding the company’s value chain for its customers.
“Touching more than 30 million lives, TriZetto’s CareAdvance Enterprise® platform scales to the growing, evolving requirements of the state and county agencies, health plans and employers that ValueOptions serves,” said Dr. Jeff Rideout, TriZetto’s senior vice president of cost and quality. “Through the CareAdvance™ application, nurses share data across a single platform, equipping caregivers with a complete view of each member and actionable information. ValueOptions particularly values the Milliman Care Guidelines that are deeply integrated in TriZetto’s CareAdvance system. Our application automatically generates personalized nursing care plans for members, based on Milliman’s annually updated evidence-based clinical guidelines. We’re proud to provide ValueOptions with tools that help them ensure health and wellness across their population.”
TriZetto completed its implementation of the Clinical CareAdvance application at ValueOptions in just six months, on time and on budget.
“In fact, we had such confidence in TriZetto’s targeted go-live date that we previewed the system to our customers throughout the implementation period,” Dess said. “We were excited to showcase the addition of disease and case management capabilities, supported by TriZetto’s Clinical CareAdvance application.”
TriZetto’s CareAdvance Enterprise system is differentiated by its capabilities to automate and support payers across the entire continuum of care -- utilization, case, disease and population management -- with the member at the center. Featuring an open architecture, the health engagement platform integrates with TriZetto, third-party and internally developed administration systems to help healthcare payers improve the cost, quality and access to care infrastructure and increase efficiencies that move the entire healthcare supply chain towards Integrated Healthcare Management (IHM). IHM is the systematic application of processes, shared information and aligned incentives to improve the coordination of benefits and care for the healthcare consumer.
The Clinical CareAdvance component of TriZetto’s CareAdvance Enterprise system provides comprehensive health monitoring and reporting tools; provider and nurse-manager alerting; template-based, secure messaging between members and case managers; near real-time member identification and stratification; customized real-time statistics and reports; and outbound communication methods tailored to the member. The Personal CareAdvance component enables members to review and contribute additional information about their current health activity and share it with care managers, providers, family and others. The application also gives members access to extensive, up-to-date multimedia health libraries, as well as personalized content.
The two applications are components of TriZetto’s CareAdvance Enterprise suite, a platform that helps improve the reach, clinical outcomes and efficiency of organizations’ health management programs, while reducing interaction costs.
