Complete Genomics Inc., a third-generation human genome sequencing
company, today announced that it will be unveiling some of its highly
anticipated customer results at the 11th annual Advances in Genome
Biology and Technology (AGBT) meeting to be held in Marco Island, Fla.,
Feb. 24-27, 2010.
“Complete Genome Sequencing for Human Disease
Studies”
Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Clifford Reid will
conduct a workshop titled “Complete Genome Sequencing for Human Disease
Studies,” which will examine Complete Genomics’ successful
collaborations with customers, alongside speakers from current customers
Genentech and the Institute for Systems Biology, who will present an
overview of their work to date. This will take place on Saturday, Feb.
27, at 1 p.m. EST in the Islands Ballroom, Marco Island Marriott Resort
& Golf Club.
Following the workshop, Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Rade Drmanac will
discuss Complete Genomics’ disruptive technology platform and its road
map of future innovations as part of a presentation titled “Technology
and Infrastructure Development for Sequencing Thousands of High Quality,
Complete Human Genomes for Large-Scale Disease Studies” at 2 p.m. EST in
the Islands Ballroom.
Complete Genomics will also be hosting a hospitality suite for AGBT
attendees on Feb. 25 and 26 in the Caxambas Room from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
EST each day. Guests will have an opportunity to meet members of the
Complete Genomics team and to learn more about the advantages of
outsourcing large-scale human genome sequencing.
