Merge Healthcare (NASDAQ:MRGE) today announced that it was selected by Complete Women's Imaging, P.C., a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Commission on Breast Imaging, to provide a complete diagnostic imaging workflow and physician reporting solution to the Atlantic Coastal Plain region of New York.
“Because we have an integrated breast imaging product offering both for successful image and information management, we are able to deliver a comprehensive, easy-to-use solution to our clients.”
"We were looking for a dedicated, long-term partner who could help us simplify our growing business infrastructure with a reliable and versatile solution, complete from scheduling through billing to business analytics," commented Dr. Abraham Port, executive partner of Complete Women's Imaging, P.C., Oceanview, New York. "Fusion RIS/PACS MX™ and the integrated Merge Mammo™ application, combined with the zero-client FusionWeb Clinician Access Portal™ completes the picture, and lets us work with our patients and communicate with their physicians more easily. As a longstanding Merge CADstream® customer, we look forward to a comprehensive and straightforward workflow experience."
With a focus on breast imaging, Complete Women's Imaging needed a solution that met the clinical viewing and reporting requirements associated with this specialty. As a multi-site, diagnostic imaging enterprise, however, they also needed a general image and information management solution that would ensure efficient workflow throughout the enterprise, as well as eliminate many compatibility concerns associated with diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record (EMR) systems integrations.
"We are delighted to be selected as the IT partner for Complete Woman's Imaging," said Nancy Koenig, Merge President. "Because we have an integrated breast imaging product offering both for successful image and information management, we are able to deliver a comprehensive, easy-to-use solution to our clients."
