Model explains mechanical cause of high blood pressure

In a paper published today by Brahm Brahm, a model was introduced explaining the cause of high blood pressure.  This model describes how both your heart and arteries contract to pump blood, creating pressure in the process. For the first time, this contraction cycle of the muscles in artery walls has been mathematically described.

If this model is confirmed, it represents a major advance in our understanding of the mechanical cause of high blood pressure. It provides a solid scientific foundation for new research in the race for effective high blood pressure treatment.
