Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) has won the "Best Hospital" designation for the fifth consecutive year in a poll of Los Angeles Daily News readers. The annual Readers' Choice online survey was conducted independently by the Los Angeles Daily News.
“At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, community is central to all we do. It has been this way since the year we opened our doors in 1958. This award recognizes that our physicians and staff share a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and patient satisfaction.”
"Best Hospital" is the top designation among hospitals, given to the one institution that outpaces others that rank among "Favorite Hospitals."
"We are grateful for this public support," said VPH President and Chief Executive Officer Gustavo Valdespino. Valdespino added that the community hospital tradition of caring is an important factor in having won the "Best Hospital" designation. "At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, community is central to all we do. It has been this way since the year we opened our doors in 1958. This award recognizes that our physicians and staff share a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and patient satisfaction."
Valley Presbyterian Hospital recently launched a new Amputation Prevention Center, which specializes in diabetic-limb care. Nursing units throughout the hospital have shifted from paper to electronically stored patient records, thus improving quality of care and reducing medical errors. Additionally, many other enhancements such as state-of-the-art equipment were added to the operating room and clinical laboratory.
