AAOPD and Homeland HealthCare enter partnership

The American Association of Professional Drivers (AAOPD) announced today a partnership with Homeland HealthCare Inc.,  a third party administrator of supplemental insurance plans based in Allen, Texas, and a member of Inc. Magazine's Fastest Growing Private Companies in the US.  The announcement commemorates National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (September 19 – 25) honoring America's 3.2 million truckers.

AAOPD, supported by Homeland HealthCare, is providing members with valuable wellness tools including supplemental health insurance products and other benefits like Consult-A-Doctor, their exclusive telemedicine and on-line health care service. These services are optimal for professional drivers, who are frequently on the move and not able to meet with physicians in person. The newly formed partnership will allow members to receive excellent care and wellness advice wherever their work takes them.

By providing drivers with convenient access to these tools AAOPD makes it easy for them to improve their health.  They are dedicated to reducing the prevalence of obesity, high blood pressure and other ailments that plague America's truckers.

AAOPD believes strongly in the link between wellness and safety because healthy drivers remain more alert and are less likely to suffer from fatigue on the road.

Brandon M. Wood, Chief Marketing Officer of Homeland HealthCare Inc. said "We are excited to honor America's truck drivers by partnering with an organization that helps them improve their health and safety to keep our country's cargo moving. The services and exclusive tools AAOPD is able to provide AAOPD members demonstrate the association's strong commitment to the health and wellness of professional drivers across the country."
