Today we invite you to join The Salvation Army at 10:00 am at 1132 Leslie St., Toronto (Wilket Creek Park and Sunnybrook Park) and help us reach our goal of Dignity for All. Runners will enjoy one of the last races of the season with a frosty 5km family fun run as well as a 1km elf walk.
"The Salvation Army Santa Shuffle is a fun and interactive way for individuals to get involved and raise funds for The Salvation Army Christmas Campaign.", said Captain John Murray, spokesperson for The Salvation Army. "All the runners and walkers who are taking part are helping The Salvation Army restore hope and dignity to women and children in crisis, feed and provide shelter for the homeless and help make Christmas a possibility for those in need."
Today in 37 cities from Victoria to St. John's, runners will run or walk in The Salvation Army Santa Shuffle, presented by All Weather Windows. Close to 10,000 participants from coast-to-coast raised over $450,000 in 2009.
Participants collect pledges for this event, with proceeds going to help vulnerable children and families in our community. Please join The Salvation Army on December 4, and help make a difference in someone's life, one step at a time.
