CoreLab Partners releases ImagEngine imaging sciences application

CoreLab Partners, Inc, the global entity resulting from the merger between RadPharm, Inc and Medifacts International, has launched a new advanced imaging application named ImagEngine®.

"We are pleased to announce the release of our proprietary imaging sciences application which will further enhance the drug development continuum by offering sponsors advanced technologies and integrated data management processes, all designed to ensure the timely execution on project timelines," said CoreLab Partners' President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mike Woehler. "Through substantial investment and our close strategic relationship with a global pioneer in the development of complex scientific technologies, we have created a state-of-the-art imaging sciences tool that will serve as a platform for a series of enabling applications. This will lead to continued expansion of our overall capabilities and imaging modalities, to include new therapeutic areas, over the next several months," added Woehler.  

The ImagEngine® system is a unique software program which will be utilized exclusively by CoreLab Partners' board-certified Radiologists to calibrate, read, annotate and review digitized medical images. This exciting advancement is an integral component of a technological suite of solutions to enhance productivity, improve quality and accelerate timelines.  

Various elements of the staged roll-outs will include:

  • The ability to load and display DICOM images, associated measurement and calibration objects
  • Segmentation tools
  • Registration tools to support multi-modality fusion with synchronized scrolling and lesion propagation
  • Registration of multi-modality voxel volumes
  • Calculates geometric and intensity based statistics
  • Object tagging with meta-data such as user ID, anatomical site code and label
  • Full integration with CoreLab Partners' information flow, repository and Oracle Clinical database
  • Support for centralized storage and retrieval of application configuration information based on project protocol.
