Coro Health earns ALFA recognition for senior care programs

Coro Health, LLC, a provider of technology-based wellness therapies designed to improve the quality of life for seniors and caregivers, today announced it has been recognized as Program to Watch by the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) 2011 Best of the Best Awards program. The award recognizes products, services or programs that make significant contributions to advancing operational excellence in senior living. Coro Health was the only consumer-based solution provider to be recognized among the winners.

"We have the honor to spread the good news about remarkable resident-centered programs fulfilling every aspect of senior-living operations, from wellness services to staff development," said Rick Grimes, president and CEO of ALFA. "All of this year's entries speak to the high standard of innovation and professionalism among our members and demonstrate their resourcefulness and ingenuity."

Coro Health delivers customized digital media such as music, spirituality, education/brain games, and reminders to ease aging at home. The content is clinically proven to increase cognitive stimulation, help with sleep/wake disorders, pain management and memory recall, and reduce agitation and depression through non-pharmacological intervention. Caregivers can modify content, schedules and services remotely, which is then delivered via Internet connection to a broad range of connected devices.

"We are honored to be recognized by the most prestigious organization in the industry. Hats off to ALFA for acknowledging the difference individualized music and spirituality can make in the quality of life of aging individuals," said David Schofman, CEO and co-founder of Coro Health. "This concept is so cutting edge, yet so easy and inexpensive. This award, combined with the amazing news from our clinical trials has made the last year quite amazing for the entire Coro Health team."
