PracticeMax, a provider of revenue cycle management and software services, today announced it has acquired American Billing Services (ABS) of Portland, Oregon, expanding the operations and geographical footprint of PracticeMax in the northwestern United States. Under the direction of its President and Founder, Sara Nofziger, CHBME, ABS provides billing and practice management services to physician practices and hospitals in the northwestern United States.
"Not only has PracticeMax expanded its ability to serve healthcare providers in the northwestern states, we have enhanced the depth and quality of our senior management team by welcoming Sara Nofziger, a veteran in the industry," said PracticeMax Chief Executive Officer, Bill Carns, CMPE, CHBME.
Carns described the acquisition as a significant benefit for the company's combined customer base: "At PracticeMax, we recognize that providers need access to experienced, trusted advisors who can offer a broad selection of services and technology. A 'one size fits all' approach to EHR and PM system selection simply won't work for most healthcare practices. Since the company's inception, we have been committed to recommending customized solutions for our customers. The synergy created by this acquisition enhances our ability to offer these solutions to an even broader base of providers."
"I am very excited to join such a well-established and experienced management team," says Nofziger. "In addition, the ABS customer base will now have access to a greater breadth of services and technology than previously available, allowing the physicians we serve to keep pace with the demands of this rapidly-evolving healthcare environment."
Carns adds: "Sara will bring extensive healthcare services expertise to our management team. I have enjoyed working with her in leadership roles at the Healthcare Billing and Management Association and am confident that her experience, leadership and integrity will fit in nicely at PracticeMax."
