The Premier healthcare alliance today announced that new agreements for the procurement of energy have been awarded to Amerex Brokers, LLC. of Sugar Land, Texas; Co-eXprise Inc. of Wexford, Pa.; Hospital Energy Development LLC. of Middletown, Conn.; Vical Energy Consultants Inc. of Hackensack, N.J.; and World Energy Solutions, Inc. of Worcester, Mass.
These agreements include energy procurement in electricity, hydropower, gasoline, natural gas, solar power, heating oil, biofuel and wind power.
Effective July 1, 2011, the agreements are available to acute care and continuum of care members of Premier.
Additionally, Premier collaborates with members and industry partners to have a positive impact on climate change and public health while reducing overall energy costs through its SPHERE® - Securing Proven Healthcare Energy Reduction (for the) Ecosystem - program.
