"On the first of a four-day mission to the Russian Federation, UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe and UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador James Chau visited a specialized HIV clinic near Saint Petersburg that cares for children who have been orphaned by AIDS and pregnant women living with HIV," according to a UNAIDS feature story (10/10). In a related news, "On the eve of the International Forum on Millennium Development Goal (MDG) 6, the Government of the Russian Federation and [UNAIDS] co-organized a charity soccer match at the Luzhniki Olympic Stadium in Moscow in support of women and children living with HIV in Russia," the organization reports in a separate feature story, adding "The two teams -- captained by Arkady Dvorkovich, aide to the president of the Russian Federation, and Michel Sidibe ... -- were composed of prominent politicians, business leaders and former international and Russian sports stars" (10/10).
