administration software, announced today that it has entered into a
services agreement with Emdeon, a leading provider of revenue and
payment cycle management and clinical information exchange solutions.
The agreement offers Emdeon Payment Integrity Solutions and Emdeon

achieve cost savings.
EZ-CAP customers will be able to take advantage of the Emdeon Payment
Integrity Solutions, which offer solutions that span the entire revenue
and payment cycle, from pre-adjudication to post-payment, to help
prevent fraud, waste and abuse. These solutions utilize advanced
analytics and investigative detection capabilities, as well as audit and
recovery services, in an effort to empower payers of all sizes to
intelligently automate processes that previously required a significant
investment in human resources and IT infrastructure.
"EZ-CAP's agreement with Emdeon is particularly advantageous for our
clients because healthcare fraud, waste and abuse is an ongoing problem
that continues to grow," said NC Murthy, CEO of MZIHC. "In fact,
industry forecasts show that billions of dollars are lost annually in
the United States to healthcare fraud, waste and abuse. Our ability to
offer EZ-CAP clients the advantages of using both Emdeon Payment
Integrity Solutions and Emdeon Payment Management Solutions will help
enable them to address these issues and control costs."
EZ-CAP customers also will be able to utilize Emdeon Payment Management
Solutions, which provide improved efficiencies for paper and
electronic-based payment and remittance documents, as well as the
capability to drive provider adoption of electronic payment and
remittance. Emdeon's integrated web-based tools facilitate the
distribution of checks and electronic remittance advices (ERAs) to
physicians and explanations of benefits (EOBs) to patients. EZ-CAP
customers also will be able to utilize Emdeon's electronic funds
transfers (EFTs) and both paper and electronic-based payment
distribution and network communications.
