Metagenics launches NutraGems CoQ10 300 to support cardiovascular health

Metagenics, Inc., a nutrigenomics and lifestyle medicine company focused on improving health, announced today the launch of NutraGemsTM CoQ10 300. These chewable gels provide an advanced, emulsified delivery form of coenzyme Q10 that is designed for enhanced absorption to deliver more reliable outcomes for enhanced patient care.

"Supplemental CoQ10 has been recommended to support cardiovascular health for over 40 years. The challenge is creating a reliable delivery form that compensates for CoQ10's fat-loving nature (which inhibits absorption) and that patients will take regularly as instructed," said Joseph Lamb, MD, Director of Intramural Clinical Research at Metagenics. "NutraGems CoQ10 300 meets both objectives with an innovative and great-tasting chewable gel that melts in the mouth and delivers a concentrated dose of 300 mg of emulsified CoQ10 to enhance its bioavailability potential."

CoQ10 is naturally found in every cell in the body and plays a role in cellular energy production, helping to ensure that the body's biggest energy consumers—the heart and the brain—are well fed. CoQ10 also helps protect proteins and mitochondrial DNA from oxidative damage. Unfortunately, levels of CoQ10 in the body gradually decline with age, and may also be depleted by lifestyle habits, environmental factors and statin medications. Supplemental CoQ10 provides support for cardiovascular health, energy metabolism, vitality, healthy aging and overall wellness.

NutraGems CoQ10 300 features natural color from the phytonutrient lycopene, and is the first product introduction in the NutraGems line of chewable gels that contain only natural flavors and sweeteners. NutraGems formulas are also gluten free, sugar free and low in calories.
