EAA to present its 11th Annual Wine & Wisdom event

Entertainment AIDS Alliance (EAA) will present its 11th Annual Wine & Wisdom event, a fundraiser benefiting the UCLA Center for Clinical AIDS Research and Education as well as Common Ground, the only comprehensive HIV agency serving Los Angeles' Westside community.

Wine & Wisdom brings together nearly 600 entertainment industry professionals and community supporters for an evening under the stars featuring artisanal food and wine, smooth jazz by the Martini Kings, a silent auction, raffle and gift bags generously filled with entertainment, beauty and lifestyle goods. This year's event also includes the launch of EAA's first online auction with Charitybuzz. Opening June 18th at www.Charitybuzz.com/support/EAA, the auction will feature priceless celebrity experiences and other unique lots whose winning bids will generate additional funds for EAA's beneficiaries.

For the past 24 years, EAA has raised funds for community-based nonprofits serving diverse populations affected by AIDS as well as organizations whose research and thought-leadership have a global effect on the cause. EAA has distributed over $5 million to more than 155 unique beneficiaries nationwide -- a sum that represents over 80% of funds raised.

As one of EAA's main fundraising platforms, Wine & Wisdom has raised more than $400,000 specifically benefiting UCLA's Clinical AIDS Research and Education (CARE) Center, a ground-breaking agency, providing treatment services to people living with HIV and AIDS, as well as conducting cutting-edge clinical research and Common Ground. The only comprehensive HIV-centric agency serving Los Angeles' Westside, Common Ground provides no-cost education, prevention and treatment programs to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Wine & Wisdom 2013's major sponsors include: Anchor Bay Entertainment, Deuce Entertainment, HBO Home Entertainment, Paramount Home Entertainment, Premier Digital Services, Showtime Networks, Sony DADC, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Torrey Pines Bank and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EAA will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in 2014. Since 1989, the organization has generated funds from within the entertainment industry and distributed them to carefully vetted nonprofit organizations nationwide. EAA is run almost entirely by dedicated pro-bono professionals and volunteers.
