It has been a year since the addition of the NYS Health Exchange, but how has that impacted the Affordable Care Act for Long Island employers? That's the topic of discussion as HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, hosts a Healthcare Update Executive Breakfast event on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 8 AM to 10 AM at Teachers Federal Credit Union, 102 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge, NY.
Attendees will hear from front-line executives managing the daily ins and outs of the NYS and Federal Health Exchanges and learn what's next as the 2015 and 2016 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requirements begin to phase in. The panel will be moderated by Christine Ippolito, Principal of Compass Workforce Solutions, winner of the 2014 HIA-LI Business Achievement Award for Rookie of the Year. This is a "must attend" event for CEO's, CFO's, COO's and those responsible for health care strategy and compliance within their companies.
"As we continue to increase business growth on Long Island, a Healthcare Update is vital for all companies responsible for healthcare and compliance for their employees," says Terri Alessi-Miceli, President of HIA-LI. "The Executive Breakfast will address the daily challenges, the lessons learned over the past year, and provide innovative strategies to implement beneficial healthcare insurance policies and health coverage for all employees. We look forward to discussing the most pressing topics, issues and initiatives with our audience."
