User-friendly solution provides private practice and ambulatory facility customers with trusted healthcare information
Omedix, a leader in convenient, cost-effective and user-friendly web solutions for medical practices, will integrate Elsevier's Health Library into its patient engagement platform. Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, developed the digital Health Library for patients and consumers featuring accurate, timely, easy-to-understand content on thousands of healthcare topics and issues.
Omedix's private practice and ambulatory facility customer base and their patients will be able to use the Elsevier Health Library, which is designed to accelerate patient engagement through access to relevant content, including symptoms, medications, treatments, conditions, diseases, procedures and tests. As providers move to value-based care, Omedix with the Elsevier Health Library will help its provider customers build patient loyalty that will distinguish their practices in the community.
"After reviewing the options in the market, it was immediately clear that Elsevier's Health Library would offer an incredible breadth of information to our customers and their savvy patients who are engaged in managing their own health and achieving positive health outcomes," said Destinee Mack, Director of Operations and Channel Management, Omedix. "Our customers will benefit from the Elsevier Health Library's depth of information, user-friendly interface and access to thousands of health topics, treatments and medications in English and Spanish."
Using the Health Library, patients can access deep, trusted content that enables personal management of conditions, diseases and medications from the convenience of home. They can also use the portal to search by specific condition or diagnosis like asthma, diabetes or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or move through an easy-to-skim, A-to-Z list of healthcare topics. Elsevier Clinical Solutions' Patient Engagement group launched Health Library earlier this year.
"Today's informed healthcare consumers are looking for an enhanced patient experience and the ability to access the same vetted and trusted content as their physicians," said Sonika Mathur, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Patient Engagement, Elsevier Clinical Solutions. "Health Library, the latest component of our Elsevier Patient Engagement suite of solutions, grants healthcare consumers access to the trusted content that they desire and the ability to better manage their conditions, diseases and medications and achievement of lifelong wellness."
