ALPHAEON completes acquisition of LENSAR

ALPHAEON Corporation, a social commerce company and subsidiary to Strathspey Crown Holdings LLC, today announced it has closed on its acquisition of LENSAR, Inc., a leading global developer and manufacturer of Femtosecond Lasers Systems (FLS), through a wholly owned subsidiary. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The LENSAR® Laser System was designed for patients seeking a premium vision outcome following the removal of their crystalline lens. With this announcement, ALPHAEON has expanded its global ophthalmology business, and has enabled the company to provide advanced technology to its broad network of more than 4,200 board-certified ophthalmologists globally.

"We are pleased to have closed the acquisition of LENSAR," said Robert E. Grant, CEO of ALPHAEON. "The advancements they have made in the self-pay category of precision refractive surgery complement our lifestyle product portfolio, allowing ophthalmologists to offer another alternative to patients."
