Celebrity chef Tonia Buxton gets optimal levels of vitamin D with BetterYou’s oral spray

Are you tired? Feeling low? Suffer from headaches, aches and pains? You could be suffering from vitamin D deficiency.

When nutritionist and food expert Tonia Buxton discovered she was deficient in Vitamin D, despite an incredibly healthy lifestyle, it came as a huge shock.

“If I can be vitamin D deficient – then so can you” says the mum of four.

“Many of us don’t recognise the symptoms of vitamin D deficiency, such as constant fatigue, headaches, aches and pains – all things you might take for granted.

“Earlier this year, I had a blood test and was VERY shocked to find that I was vitamin D deficient. I have a Greek Mediterranean diet and go to great lengths to make sure I feed myself and my family a varied diet, rich in fatty fish and eggs.

“I researched how I could increase our vitamin D through nutrition and realised it’s very difficult - almost impossible!

“I couldn’t even rely on getting vitamin D from going outside in the sunshine, as I tend to wear SPF 50 all the time.

“I decided to look into which supplements we should be taking and hands down the best option for us was BetterYou’s DLux Oral Vitamin D Spray, for formula as well as absorption.

“When I saw that BetterYou was working with the NHS, that confirmed for me that it was the only supplement I was happy to take and to give to my family.

“I love using the spray; I can use it on the go and have peace of mind that I’m getting an optimal level of vitamin D with just one spray a day.”

It’s estimated that 10 million people in the UK suffer from low vitamin D levels. Guidance by Public Health England (PHE) recommends that everyone take a daily vitamin D supplement.

The advice, which sees the supplementation advice broaden from ‘at risk’ groups to everyone, is based on the recommendations of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) following its review of the evidence on vitamin D and health.

“It’s really important for everyone to check their vitamin D levels” says Tonia.

“You can check your levels in the comfort of your own home, using a simple finger prick test and results come back within a few days. BetterYou distribute the NHS’ home test kit and offer a complimentary DLux vitamin D spray with every dosage plan. Get a hold on your health and check your levels now!”

BetterYou and Tonia Buxton are supporting National Vitamin D Awareness Week (24-30 October), which aims to eradicate vitamin D deficiency in the UK by 2020.
