In Chengdu, China, the Indonesia-China Healthcare & Biotech Investment Forum was jointly held by Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bilateral Committee for China (KIKT) and Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) on July 27, 2023. During the Forum, Wondfo Biotech and Kimia Farma signed a partnership agreement in the field of in vitro diagnosis. The agreement was signed in the presence of Budi Gunadi Sadikin—Health Minister of Indonesia, H.E Djauhari Oratmangun—Ambassador of Indonesia to China and Arsjad Rasjid—Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Kimia Farma (PT Kimia Farma Tbk.) is a state-owned leading pharmaceutical company in Indonesia. It has developed into a company with integrated health service and it has been increasingly engaged in the development and building of the nation.

In July, 2023. Wondfo and Merck, together with Indonesian Medical Association and Ministry of Health of Indonesia, officially launched national thyroid screening project. In its first phase, it is expected to screen 150 thousand people for thyroid function, reaching Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and other major areas.

In February, 2023, Silk Road Fund and Indonesia Investment Agency (INA) announced the successful delivery of the joint investment project of PT Kimia Farma Tbk. (KAEF), a state-owned pharmaceutical pioneer in Indonesia, and PT Kimia Farma Apotek (KFA), a subsidiary of KAEF retailing healthcare materials on e-commerce platform. It is a landmark of cooperation between China and Indonesia under the Belt and Road Initiative.

In May, 2023, Wondfo, together with Silk Road Fund, Indonesia Investment Agency (INA), PT Kimia Farma Tbk and Kimia Farma Apotek, had a discussion about future cooperation in the field of healthcare.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wondfo donated medical materials to the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs Republic of Indonesia for detecting COVID-19. In addition, Wondfo collaborated with Biofarma in the prevention and control of COVID-19 with Wondfo’s RBD Fluorescent Diagnostic Tests, covering over 250 thousand people.
