    I recall that the US Military experimented with a High pressure needle-less injection system for annual flu & other shots, in the early 1970s. They stopped when they found that slight moements of the nozzle against the skin could slice the recipient open & cause lots of bleeding*. They resumed the needle next year.
    *-I had mine, luckily the nozzle didn't move.
