    This a good news for cassava and related crop breeders all over the world sice this can help us breed for market oriented traits in Africa. It can also help to speed up mutation and mutagenesis of economically endowed and less endowed crops.

    Traditional cassava improvement is slow and difficult. The availability of large numbers of markers will help cut down the quantum of planting materials needed for initial irradiation.
