While saunas do offer a plethora of health benefits, and more are being discovered every day, it's important to remember that a sauna bath is not a replacement for cardiovascular exercise.  A sauna will also not help aid you in weight loss. Any weight lost in a sauna bath is only water weight and will come right back as soon as you rehydrate.  Failure to do so can result in dangerous, and in extreme cases even deadly, dehydration.
