    Studies looking at post partum hormonal impact on brain structure MUST consider the role of breastfeeding.  The protective impact of breastfeeding on both babies and mothers health from on demand responsive and exclusive breastfeeding to six months of age has a significant impact on estrogen and consequently BF needs to be measured as an important component in research of this kind.
