    This is irresponsible writing. The opening statement of the first paragraph is recklessly untrue. Did the Deaf women have babies with low-birth weight because they have hearing loss? This is a very preposterous statement to make. What would make it more appropriate is the following: Deaf women who are on Medicare have a higher incidence of babies with low-birth weight.
