    After having a stroke, 2003, when on HRT, and immediately stopping the HRT, I still have hot flashes.  This year a tumour in the right breast was discovewred and surgically removed, followed by 7 weeks radiation.  I was offered Tamafloxifen, even though it is known to thicken the blood, and cause clots.  Even tho' the history showed I had had a stroke...so, how can we women trust what we are offered. This medicine has serious side effects.  I feel that my stroke and the subsequent breast cancer was caused by the HRT.  There is no cancer in any of my sisters' breasts, and no stroke history.  They did not take HRT for more than a few weeks.  I took it for 18 years...I just take vitamins now.
