1. Sickle cell disease drug trial

    I am a physician and I have over 10 patients living with the agony of this incurable disease. This is a great news today and I will share it with my patients and their family to raise their hope.

    May I appeal here that Africa should not be left out of the trial and the eventual treatment when finally approved.

    We have the problem of malaria killing people with normal blood cells; imagine the multiple problem of those with SCD.
