    Yup, endometriosis is very difficult and it's not a "period disease," although it does respond to cyclical hormones. It's scary to think that endometrial tissue can lodge in many places, including lungs (I believe). Since the tissue is affected by hormones, bleeding can occur anywhere in abdomen or wherever the tissue "migrates" to. My sis had it, and I think she went through two endometrial ablations. NOT fun
