This is a real nightmare. I went undiagnosed for over a year (even though I insisted it was my thyroid), then went on synthroid which did nothing but change my labs to "perfect".  They would up it for me and I would feel hyper coming on, so back down it went.  Their supposed cure made me feel worse than I did before.  Went to a great Endo who gave me Armour and I have never felt better; lost 30 pounds, hair came back to life, etc.  Now with this new formula my hair looks terrible, I'm having trouble sleeping and I have acne at 42!  Then to make matters worse I can't even GET the medication I deperately need.  Can this really be legal?  I just don't understand... Someone add me to a class action suit if we can find an attorney who would take it on.  Where is Erin Brokovich?

I agree with you completely.  I had to switch to a synthetic for a short time, which was horrible.  I have had many problems come back to life once I started on the synthetic.  I finally was able to get Armour Thyroid again, but it is obvious they changed the formula. It smells different, tastes different, and the color isn't quite right. I thought it would be fine and work like before.  My horrible symptoms are still continuing, even on the "new" Armour Throid formula.  Seriously, I am hoping someone will start a class action lawsuit, sign me up as well!  They are being negligent with the health and well-being of the american people!

I knew that Armour Thyroid was backordered for a long time.  But I never understood why.  I took Synthroid for years and changed to Armour Thyroid about 15 years ago. Without knowing I'd changed medications, my daughter mentioned that I didn't seem depressed the way I had for so many years.  And I knew I felt better in general on Armour Thyroid.

But I have been having difficulties for a few months now.  From this site it seems that my problems may be related to a new formulation of the Armour Thyroid.  News to me!  Today I was told that Armour Thyroid is going off the market completely.  How truly awful.  And with Government-controlled "health care" there will be no choice for thyroid meds or any others; the government -- meaning some clerk or bureaucrat -- will decide what medications will be available for everyone.  And the decisions will be made on the basis of lobbying/money.  We are all in for bad times it would appear.  Write your congressmen and senators telling them you do not want the government or anyone else telling you what you should do about your own health care.
