Prognosis statistics should mention more than just kidney outcomes:  chronic pain, muscle dysfunction, and recurrence 2º to exercise, anesthetics, medications are part of the long term considerations after rhabdomyolysis which may need addressing by orthopaedic or chronic interventional pain experts.  Thorough preoperative anesthesia evaluation is mandatory to avoid an intraoperative recurrence due to anesthetic involvement.   Data and discussion of these matters is generally vague and hard to find.
