The wording of the statement by Walgreen leaves a lot to be desired. For instance..... their refusal to fill brand name prescriptions might be acceptable if they also added, "wherever there are no generics of the same drug".

There are many drugs for which there is absolutely NO GENERIC equivalent, consquently, are they saying they will let the patient die (many drugs are for life saving heart conditions, or anti-biotics for infections that are resistant to generic drugs and only a brand name product works.)

I have a condition that does not respond to a generic version. Also if I take the generic version it causes me to have seizures. The branded product must be slightly different as it works without the side effect of seizures. This is a side effect that is potentially fatal to me and those who may be around me when it happens. Walgreens is playing G-D with me.
