Similar to what Vincente Richards mentioned in his comment above i would rather argue that the mass vaccination efforts during an ongoing pandemic are creating increased selectionpressure on SARS-CoV-2. And since all of these experimental gentech vaccines are particulary spike proteine oriented you would expect increased fitness of mutant variants displaying most of their mutations in the stressed part of the virus: the spike proteine, which is indeed the case. Hence it is more logical to conclude that the mass vaccination programme is in fact accelerating the formation of mutants with altered spike proteines that are less affected by antibodies looking to bind with the particular type of spike proteine they were trained for by the vaccine.
