    This article indicates that a Nebraska-based exchange would be ready as soon as the Supreme Court made its decision.

    That is not correct.  Our position is that Nebraska should not make a commitment or decision regarding establishing a Nebraska-based exchange until the Supreme Court rules.  The timelines for establishing an exchange are extremely aggressive and will be difficult to accomplish.

    In the meantime, prior to making a decision as whether or not to commit, the Nebraska Department of insurance continues to plan and design so that our options remain open.  

    I hope this clarifies the status.
